Dale's mom, Barbara, wrote this prose to her children the last year of his life. He posted it on social media, and his place of employment, Hope Network, created a plaque which hangs on the wall today.

"How's Your Heart Today?"
"How is your heart today?" was Dale's standing question to friends and strangers alike. From there he proceeded to listen to the struggles of thousands of people's lives and was able to share hope and healing with them, turning strangers into friends.
And with his signature bear hug, he would bid them farewell with a prayer and a blessing.
