What's Happening in the Garden
Picture

While we wait for snow to thaw and birds to cheep, Barbara is managing this beautiful project; daily dedicated to accomplishing tasks set before her. It is an honor and a pleasure to dream, dwell on the positive, and continue to heal and grow while reaching out to others.

Barb, and her husband Dale, will be meeting next week with an architect at Inspired Builders in Hart, Michigan. This next exciting step takes us from the dream stage to the drawing board as we discuss building
styles and sizes of the tiny roadside Chapel, a screened-in porch, a Garden Shoppe, and a small gazebo for the Garden project. What a privilege to work with Inspired Builders!

No garden is complete without comfortable Adirondack chairs for lounging. Talented Gene Davidson of Pentwater is crafting chairs for the Garden. Gene owns and operates the Pentwater Artisan Learning Center. It’s an honor to have him and his wife, Barbara onboard.

Erik Schmock, of Ludington, is donating his very capable landscaping skills for the entire Garden project. We certainly could not move forward without his expertise.

Many more caring folks have donated services and products. We are honored and excited to be given the opportunity to work with all of those who have chosen to contribute to Dale’s living legacy.

Thank you so much.

As spring draws nearer, so does our project to being well underway and racing toward the finish line!

We have a dear friend who will help us clear the grounds and make ready to till the land in preparation to planting. We are in the process of getting a tractor tiller donated, which is going to be a great help.

More items have been donated, such as wildflowers from Rothbury Hardware, a beautiful memorial bench from Bela Floral, sand from Beckman Brothers, and pallettes of shrubs and perennials from Weesies Nursery.

We are absolutely thrilled about whats been given! Also, funds continue to roll in.

Fundraisers are being planned by Shelby State Bank, and Ludíngton High School. Two more schools may join us!

in the meantime, we put on our hat and gloves and begin clearing the grounds....and wait for warm weather.

Spring is here! Flowers are beginning to peek through the ground and warmer weather is here!

We have begun painting the house and sprucing it up before we begin construction on a work shed and The Garden Shoppe. We continue to ask for funds to purchase materials to build these little buildings that will play such an important role in the garden.

Next, the patio is being slated to be poured soon. Also, the ground is being readied to be tilled. Soon we will see bushes and flowers being planted.

We continue to grow! Thank you for being part of our vision!
